where are these from cat and who is the lady like in the middle? were these an installation or just the work hanging up. tell us tell us, i'm glad you got the hang of it, you make things look so easy cat.
Hi steve.
This is my final project in Collage class with Gary. The lady in the middle is my mother. This was hanging up for the final critique, but it came down after that. I made some paper out of a denim dress that belonged to her, and then I cut out small pieces shaped like clothing from that paper and hung them in the windows I made that go across the pink fabric, which is also another dress of my mother's. The piece that protrudes from the wall is a tiny book i made out of chipboard. I printed on it and cut things out and used handwriting from my journals the week after she passed away as texture.
How bout that?
Oh yeah, and the skirt also belonged to my mother.
I really like your work cat, haven't seen that one before, are we going to see more?
Thank you, Alex. I would love to organise my portfolio soon, and that would include taking good pictures to put on here. I need to do in anyway, so i can begin an internship.
